i bought a 24 by 30 peice of 50 guage polished stainless steel. thinking of taking it to my local steel place to be put in a cnc machine and have those clear deflectors replaced with polished stainless steel. i took the steel out of the box last night and could'nt believe the shine on this peice i got..but anyway. it's going to be a limited run for now and depending on how much it costs me to have them cut..how many people would be interested in a set..not trying to make a profit..just wanna use the whole peice of steel. i'm probably looking at maybe 6 or 7 sets out of this peice.
if this violates board policy..then please remove it.,.i won't be affended..

Do you need a definite or a maybe, let us see a pic kind of answer? I know I'd sure like a set if they come out good.

Are these the fork deflectors or the ones on the fairing? Or am I totally off base?
Oh! The deflectors actually on the pods...... OK, now I understand.
I might be interested.

Good question Ray...If its the ones on fairing they won't work with Baker Air Wings

not the fork or fairing deflectors..but the factory honda deflectors that you had to modify the pod to mount them..

Got it. I have them on my pods. Be interested in seeing what they look like and pricing.
I could be a customer.

50 gauge? Would be as thin as tissue paper. I am interested unless it reallis 50 gauge, would not even be good for wrapping fish.

ferris.. i think you need to look at a spark plug gapper and see how thick 50 guage really is..trust..your not going to bend this stuff without the use of a vice and hammer.

That would be .050" or 50 thousandths of an inch. 11 ga steel is .125" thick. 38 ga is .006". 50 ga would be something like .001". No criticizm just facts so we know what we are talking about buying.

ok heres the deal..i'll take this sheet to the local steel place the beginning of next week..get the whole sheet cut into those deflectors..i'll mount them on my bike take pictures and post the pictures..in a new post of course so it's not lost here..i'll also give how many sets i end up with and the price. and we'll go from there..i just did'nt want to cut that whole peice and be stuck with umpteen dozen pairs of deflectors sitting on my shelf..

OK, but still keep me on the list. Depending on the cost, I may take two pair. Just got a new set of deflectors to put on the wife's Std that I recently added pods to.
