On May 15, 2010, we will be hosting the FIRST ANNUAL "LANDING OF THE VALKYRIES" !!! We ... are Honda of Greenville... in Greenville, TX. I have found several Valkyrie riders here in Greenville and surrounding areas and pulled them together for what is shaping up to be an awesome 1 day event. Our own Daniel Meyer has graciously consented to being on hand for book signings, and Jeff, The Wanderer, Latimer will be in attendance representing the "Ride for Kids", and I've spoke with B.A.D. and others to join us. With the 7 or so bikes here, and others from all over ... the schedule will go something like this .... starting at around 11:00 am.... Valks will gather at the WalMart on highway 34 in Greenville, and at High Noon ... will all cross the street and "Land" at Honda Yamaha of Greenville, located at 7716 Wesley St. (Highway 34). We want to fill the parking lot( Which isnt that hard, it's so small ), and all the yard around the place. There will be vendors on hand to demo cleaning products, and leathergoods. The local chapter of the GWRRA will also have a booth selling baked goodies. There will be free hot dogs and hamburgers and soft drinks with lots of people on hand to admire the best road bike ever built.... (so you gotta shine her up!!)
We will begin to wrap things up at 2:30 and get lined up to be escorted from Greenville, down highway 34 to Quinlan, Tx, take a cut acoss the lake and end up with a police escort at Highway 80 near Terrell, Tx to our final destination of Ham's Orchard for homemade Peach and Strawberry Ice Cream ! This date is also the opening day for Ham's Orchard and they are excited that we will be attending. For more information call me at the store 903-455-4866 or check the websight at greenvillehondayamaha.com (All bikes are welcomed for the ride to Ham's.. invite all your friends and impress them with the Valks !

I forgot the most important thing! If you can supply your VRCC member number ... you will receive 20% off ALL parts and accessories ordered that day!

Here is the flyer.. print it and let everyone know. I would LOVE to have 100 Valkyrie's on the trip down to Ham's Orchard.

I'm in.  Would it be OK to bring along any of our non-Valkyrie buddies?  I have a friend in Greenville who has an Ultra Classic, but he's a good guy otherwise.

I would love to go.  Sounds awesome.  But already have a trip planned that weekend, same for the Gathering of the Fools weekend too.  I need to stop making plans so I can do more planning!

Yes Rainmaker bring all your friends. Our special guest to help us make the ride down to the Peach Orchard is Chief of Police Jody Lay from Terrell. He has an Ultra Classic, but I am told he is an ok guy otherwise as well!
I spent Saturday in Cooper at the VFD fund raiser and bike ride.. met a lot of great Harley riders and have invited all of them to come as see the REAL cruiser of the Century!

Sadly I will not be back in my home state until late May early June.
And then only briefly.

Nothing else on the Texas ride calendar during that time frame.

If you are going to be in the DFW area, let us know when and we will plan something around your schedule.

And this is what makes Texas a great state.
Mucho gracias y'all.

The last week of May I am going to be meandering through New Mexico ( Clovis/Roswell) to pay respects and then toward the central Texas/Marble Falls area and maybe down toward San Antone. No set schedule, taking the back roads. The only time I have to really be anywhere is the first weekend in June in Marble Falls. Only to be tormented by my sister and her grandkids, oh boy - nuthin' like family and ankle biters.
I am trailering as I have to pick up more junq from my sister, I could either haul an empty trailer to Texas or put the scooter in so as to limit the amount of stuff she forces on me to take back home.  coolsmiley The only thought I had was to cruise around the hill country and the lakes as bikini season will be in full swing by then  cooldude, unless of course I got a better offer......

Exact dates are still a bit up in the air due to the people I work for being poster boys for preparation

Yeah, don't miss the Tucumcari gathering.  Always a great time.  Look forward to seeing you there.  I bought my bike in Colorado Springs, so maybe you could give her a pat....
