Should be a good day.

The weather is nice. I should probably mow the grass. Instead my wife and I are going to hop on the bike and meet some friends in town. We're riding down to Gaffney for lunch at Harold's.  Harold's is a hot dog joint that was featured on Dinners & Dives.  Should be good. Back roads until lunch. Then another set of back roads until home.

This afternoon, after we peel off from the group ride, we're going to ride into Charlotte. The Charlotte Roller Girls (local Roller Derby team) is having a double header tonight.

This is a great way to spend our 6 year wedding anniversary. Should be a good day.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Went down to Harold's in Gaffney SC for hotdogs. They were okay, not exceptional as it turns out. They're very proud of being featured on Food Network. That is cool, but not the best dog I've eaten.

The ride leader did a nice job of laying an easy to follow path for about a dozen riders to stay together in a group. Hotdogs might not have been the best but the roads were nice and the weather was perfect.

After wards we hung out for a while at the local biker bar. Don't usually go there, but in a group it was fun. Watched bikes come in. Laughed at folks trying to look tough. Rode away after wards to check out the Charlotte roller derby.

Derby double header is a great time to go check it out. By the end of the first half of the first bout I had the rules and scoring figured out and knew what to watch. It was fun.

The best part (better than the roads and weather) is that my wife had fun. She enjoyed the ride as much as I did.  It was a nice day.
