Well... the bad news 1st.....
Completely lost the day as far as working around here getting things ready for the GOTFs.....  I mean I didn't get a single thing done Embarrassed
NADA.......Just got back home.

The good news...... well it starts out sounding BAD.....
Got a call from the Brazoria County Sheriff...........THAT CAN NEVER BE GOOD!!!!

He said the Sheriff Dept in San Patricio County called and said they had my 16 ft trailer...... the one that was stolen from here in October.....It had been making trips with the new ILLEGAL owners to Mexico and hauling thing to and from....Plates were out of date... and they put 'home made trailer plates on it......
Drove down to Sinton.... 30 miles from Corpus.... Got with the Sheriff Dept....... went to the impound lot...(private)  ...Sure enough, It was my trailer...
They had removed the VIN#s and all markings......Cut off the electic plug and had a 4 prong all wired wrong.... I don't know what happened to the ramps.
Had to pay the impound $273 to get my trailer back.....  Now I need to rewire it.... send off the get it re-registered and a renewed VIN....and build some ramps for it......Plus $85 in gas to go get it........Still I would say it's good news!!!!!!

Gear Jammer... I still want the Gooseneck...... think I will sell the straight tounge trailer..... any illegal with a bumper hitch can steal it..... even though it was locked up.... the gooseneck takes a bit more equipment.... and I have already set my truck up for it.

Glad you got it back.  How did they identify it?

If you keep it, I think I remember someone suggesting you paint it pink.   2funny

Glad you got your trailer back! cooldude  I had a 12' enclosed trailer stolen from my business a few years ago and found it two weeks later about 5mi from my warehouse.  We had reported it stolen, so felt obligated to call the cops who wanted to impound it even after my business partner and I showed them all the "papers" including the original sales receipt.  Ended up telling them that maybe it was just "borrowed" (actually, not sure what was actually said) - so they let us take it home.    The thiefs had actually left some tools in it which we kept and are still hanging on the wall at the warehouse. Wink  Sold the trailer not long after...

Probably wouldn't hurt to take pics and document any identifiable markings, although most of my junk is homemade and no one would want it, I think I'll take the time take pics and document what few things I do have just in case. Thanks for sharing Cool..
Oh yeah glad ya got your trailer back coolsmiley
