bought a valk last year, 98 tourer, and only put a few hundred miles on...noticed very poor mileage in the range of 20-30mpg at 65-75mph. Finally got a chance to pull the tank and install a new filter and I can't understand how the bike even ran...this filter had to be the original, it was the worst and made me shudder to think of what other maint. was ignored. I have not gotten back on the bike yet and won't until I completly go through it. Can't believe the morons around that just want to ride and say piss on the mechanicals.
