It's almost time for summer riding!!!  Which means it's time for pre-ride maintenance, maybe install a bit of "safety chrome", etc.

We'll start around 9(ish), plan on lunch somewhere around noon(ish), and get some work done.

For those who haven't been out, we have a full bike lift, a couple of motorcycle jacks, and a couple of Condor wheel chocks that hold bikes up and solid.  Tools we have, we'll make sure to have room in the oil dump canister (bring your own oil).  We do have a few OEM oil filters available at the price we paid for them from the dealer.

If you need work on your bike but aren't sure where to start or how, odds are that Wizard or one of the others attending will have the information.   And we have Valkyrie manuals, of course.

If your bike doesn't need work, come out anyway!  You can always be someone's third hand, or just kick tires.

That's Saturday, May 8, 9 a.m.  If you need directions, let me know, I'll email you the map.

with advance reminder.  Remember we have 7 dogs of our own, and I'd need to be sure none were outside.

Thanks for asking.

I will be working in Houston off and on this summer (I know, wrong time of year) and would love to come to one of these if there is one. My schedule is fairly flexible. It is only 650 miles down there. Grin

You're always welcome to come out.  We post them on the board, and if we're in town, any Valk rider is welcome to come out and get some help working on his bike.  Or just come on out and kick tires.

We even accept non-Valk riders (but don't tell anyone!)

I'm trying to get there, but people keep asking for time on that day.  We'll see as it gets closer.

I've done my grocery shopping, and we're gonna have breakfast AND lunch!!  We have soft drinks (will put in cooler before Saturday, I promise!), and we're looking forward to having folks come out and join us!

Well, I didn't want to say I would make it because if I plan it, they will show up.
(see my post in this thread http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,15788.0.html )

And they did, but this time it was MY brother. So we are doing mother's day today, since he has a 7 hr drive home tomorrow...

A good enough reason to miss another one. Mom comes first!

Ya'll have a great time today!  cooldude

I think there were about 10 of us, all together.  Including a couple of new faces!!  I managed to not burn any of my cooking, so there was good food as well as good people and beautiful Valkyries.

I think it's safe to say a good time was had by all!

I would say it was a very good day....even though I got there late.  Lots of work got done and boy, those bbq sandwiches for lunch were GOOD!

Thanks Lyn-Del and Wizard for another successful wrench party!

We enjoyed it too.  With the pending travel season (YAY!) and the upcoming summer heat (BOO!!), I guess we'll be planning the next one for September or October.

Be safe!!
