Some of ya'll are on VORTEX, some have chosen not to be.  Some have no idea what I'm talking about.
VORTEX is the VRCC "emergency help contact list", of folks who have offered to be available for other VRCC members who run into trouble on the road.  Mechanical troubles are rarer with these bikes, but as Dave can attest, it's good to have friends available when you do have a failure.
There was a post recently on the main board about this list, and it was pointed out that the list is out of date.  I glanced through, and while a number of our Houston riders are there and up to date, quite a bit of the ones listed are probably no longer around.  Not sure how to purge out of date info, but if you're registered there, go check to make sure your info is correct (mine was old, but is now updated).  If you're not registered there, consider registering.  It makes a phone number and email address available to registered VRCC members ONLY.
If you ever need such a list, either have a copy with you on a road trip, or call home to someone who can access it and have them look up the info.  It's all about helping other Valkyrie riders.

Done!  After my pinion cup experience with no parts or ride nearby last year I have started rebuilding a trailer I had hanging around.  As soon as I have a ramp built for it I'll be able to pick up a broken bike if necessary.

It has come to my attention that I did not give much information in my previous
post, so instructions follow:
VORTEX can be accessed off of a link from the VRCC national home page:
www.valkyrieriders.com, or directly at: http://www.f6rider.com/Valk/vortex.htm
It requires your member number and password to get in.  This is different from
your login on the forum.  The member number can be found via member search (link
off the home page again, or directly at:
http://members.vrccservices.com/membership/field-search.php3?ID=0001)
Your password is up to you to remember from when you originally registered.
Remember it's not linked to the forum password.
Log in at the VORTEX page, and you can find people in case you need help, but
you can register by clicking on the link in the middle, the "IF YOU ARE A
MEMBER...", which takes you to:
http://members.vrccservices.com/membership/edit-member-login.php3?ID=0001
Log in there, and make sure your information is correct, especially name, phone
number, city and state, then if you wish to make that info available to riders
in need, change "Join Mutual Aid Network?" to "YES- OK to share phone".
Save changes, and you're in.

I hope this helps.

He only needed it for a few hundred miles, so he was OK.
Besides, that one was never mounted on AlternatorEater, so it should have been fine.  (:
