The cops did a thorough walk thru and investigation. They've been getting lots of practice around here. How bout where you live, have the break-ins been on the increase?

The thieves took several pieces of jewelry, two Glock 40 cal clips with ammo, and a hand held safe with some foreign currency, some personal items and passports. He was mainly concerned about the passports. We searched the woods around the house and found nothing. When I got ready to leave, I decided to got on down the street and loop back out to the main road on the next road up in the subdivision. I never go out that way, but something (someone) told be different. About half way up the road and straight through the wooded lots from James', there laying in the middle of the road in plain sight was the remains of the contents of the safe. I could see where they had smashed the safe to get to the contents. Shards of white plastic in the middle of the road and there laid his and his girlfriend's passports along with several other items. PTL. He still works in small ways and sometimes amazes me.

Got home about an hour ago. I'm tired

Stormrider, was that you I met at the Wendy's in Eufaula?  I apologize for not properly introducing myself. Googled your avatar hometown and thought it may have been you. We were making tracks to jawja and man it got hot. Not nearly that warm at the beach.

That was me. Great to meet you and gorgous bike. I know. We were just looking for a drink of cold water. The line in Windy's was slow, went next door, no help there, so we bugged on out and was home in another 45 minutes. That drink of water was worth a 100 bucks.

Shoot me a line if in this area. Got family south of Atlanta and up that way a few times a year, either deer hunting or visiting and will be on the bike depending on what's going on. Will have to do a ride up that way and get Steamer and Co to join us. Maybe Pine Mtn area.

Some people say I keep my mouth open too much, wonder where they get that from.

What a great experience!  This was my longest ride (1070 miles for the weekend) and my first motorcycle rally.  The "old timers" really made us newbies feel welcome.

Specifically - RedValk, Sherrie (spelling?), Willow, Motomama (I think that's right?),  Stormrider, Jeff from Boaz (sorry Jeff - don't know your handle), Tearless Tom and Mr. Ducati (Michael, wasn't it?), Santa, Ghost Rider and Lori (hope I spelled that right) went out of their way to make this one of the most enjoyable weekends that we have had in a long time.  Apologies for anyone that I interacted with but can't remember handles/names right now.

Tim and crew did an EXCELLENT job bustin' their tails for months to make this a wonderful event.

Anyways, enough words.

Here is who REALLY wanted to ride with me, but got ditched in Talladega:

The Bald Rock Lodge:

Hangin' out before dinner on Saturday:

Small pavilion behind lodge:

Headin' inside for dinner (which was AWESOME!)

Notice the Cheaha "taxi" in the background Smiley

A few of our fearless leaders loadin' up:

Aforementioned fearless leader's valiant steed:

Another fearless leader loadin' up:

View from outlook at end of trail near lodge:

"Miss Gorgeous" (she really likes that name, BTW) at the Observation Tower:

Still workin' on posting some video.  It's going to be a PITA cause I only have RCA connections for the camera.  I'll try to redneck engineer something together soon and get those vids up here before Cheaha 2011 (hint, hint, Tim).

Many thanks again to all who made this a memorable weekend.
