I'd like to know the surface temp of the exhaust headers when the engine is at normal operating temps. I know this will vary with conditions and am just trying to get a ballpark figure. Thanks.

I have, but it dont work on reflecting surface like aluminium and chrome.
I use a black clamp round the headers to measure the temp.

I believe HF has some of them fairly inexpensive.....   I did have one, but someone either walked off with it or I left it somewhere.   I hate when that happens.....
