OK .... before I go and put the Dyna Beads in my new Avon Cobra tires I have a question. Has anyone ran a new set of tires on the bike without any weights prior to putting in the beads to see if there was any noticeable difference ??  Just curious .... first time user here with the Dyna Beads and would like some feedback.

Thanks !!

The closest I got to that was lineing up the marks on my tire
with the valve stem. There was some vibration before beads .
  None after.

I have a MPG book "more miles per gallon in the 90s" and based on the author's (robert sikorsky) research, all tires should be run without balancing for a few hundred miles. the book stated that this allows the tires to develop a set which will increase mpg and the life of the tires.
I have tried this with my new truck tires and then installed the dyna beads, so I will see if the tire life span is increase. I will be doing this also when I install new tires on the bike.

I had a brand new front tire, professionally balanced and installed.  Drove the cycle for about 2000 miles when I bought a new rear tire, and 5 ounces of dyna beads.  Drove the bike without any weights on the tires, just for the feel of it, then installed 2 ounces in the front tire and 3 ounces in the rear.  Took it out for a ride on the interstate, and was totally amazed.  The bike was incredibly smooth, absolutely no vibration in the handlebars, I’m sold.

I talked to a tire garage about the beads and the tire guy says that he highly recommends them in truck tires.  Well, I’ve got a truck and I’ll be replacing my lead weights with those little ceramic beads this winter.  not earlier, cycle gets all the miles when it’s warm!

Thanks !! .... that's exactly what I was looking for. What size tire did you put on the rear ??  According to the information I looked up 2 oz. was good for a 180/70R-16 so hope I have enough.

Guess I should have spent a little more time doing a search on Dyna Beads. Found a bunch of info in the archives. Sorry for wasting anyone's time.

Hey if everyone found what they were looking for in the arhcives and search function this would be a lonely place. No one would need to ask anything  Roll Eyes

I would put 3 oz in the rear 2 up front as most have done including me the extra ounce will not hurt.
