I have checked with the motel and there are currently only 5 rooms left in the reserved block at ground zero in Missouri Valley, IA. If you are coming and haven't reserved your room yet you might want to do so soon because once they fill up you'll be on your own to find a room and there won't be any discount. Here is the motel info again: A block of rooms have been reserved at the Oak Tree Inn, this will be ground zero for the weekend. I have 10 Queen Deluxe single rooms reserved for the nights of June 11th and 12th at a special rate of 67.50 + tax a night, make sure and tell them you want in the Iowa Ride In block of rooms. This price includes a free, cooked to order, breakfast up to a cost of $7.50 per person in the room at Penny's Diner which is in the same parking lot. The motel offers free WIFI and a fitness center. All rooms have microwaves and refrigerators. THIS IS A NON SMOKING FACILITY, they DO NOT offer smoking rooms. I am also providing the numbers to some other area motels for those that require smoking rooms. Oak Tree Inn (Ground Zero) (712) 642-3000 Days Inn (712) 642-4003 Super 8 (712) 642-4788 I have heard some comments about why is this setup as a 3 day event with motels involved so let me explain my philosophy. Missouri Valley is on the far west border of Iowa and the heart of the Loess Hills region. According to Google Maps it is 133 miles and 2 hours 16 min from Des Moines to Missouri Valley by interstate. If you take Highway 141 then it's 148 miles and 3 hours 8 min. The routes we are looking at will have us in the saddle for roughly 7 hours covering approx. 400 miles, these are county road miles not interstate. Doing the math that roughly makes it 550 miles and from 9 to 10 hours, not counting fuel and food stops and you haven't headed home yet! You say, "Well, I'll just meet you in Ida Grove for lunch and then head back home." You are more than welcome to do that and I'm certain we would all enjoy seeing you and spending some time over a meal with you BUT you'll be missing out on what I think is almost the most fun of the weekend, the tire kicking at the motel! That's where you have the opportunity to renew friendships, make new friends, get ideas about modifications and accessories, but most of all enjoy being around people of like interests! Because when it comes right down to it the bikes are just a vehicle to bring us together, it's the people that are the most important. More details on the event: The routes for Saturdays ride have been roughly sketched out, I promise we will have them nailed down before the 12th! LOL We are planning to have maps of the routes available for everyone, I know I have talked to a couple of people who are planning to join us Saturday but are not staying at the motel. I will be getting them maps so they will be able to meet/catch up with us if they don't make the departure from ground zero. If this includes you, contact me so I can email you a map when they are ready. Here is what we do have nailed down: Friday night we will have an informal supper gathering at Quick Rick's Rib Joint in Missouri Valley, we will be leaving from ground zero at 6:30 to head over there. If you are planning on attending this please email me at bcs_craig@hotmail.com so I can let them know how many to expect. Saturday morning we will leave ground zero at 8:45 and head north, our lunch stop will be at the Pizza Hut in Ida Grove. Saturday night's meal TBA. Sunday morning's departure ride will be planned in the parking lot of ground zero, with a general direction of east. Planning will begin at 9:00 with a departure target time of 9:30. Craig

Craig, if I'm off the O2 I'll be there come Saturday morning.... I guess I can pay for a breakfast at Penny's.
Otherwise, I might bring the Hemi over and follow Saturday and head for home Saturday night.
I don't have enough room for all this O2 sh*t to stay over..........It will not ride in the box, not enough places to tie it down at......

Craig, missed getting off the O2 by 2% points.
She told me if I could do their norml test loop & not go below 90% the Dr said I was off of it even though I have severe sinus infection AGAIN.........
Took the life line out of my nose and we took off around the walkway.
Well, my luck held out, 15' from the finish line It dropped below to 88%. SHEET FIRE NO HOW.
Can't get back in for 4 months to be retested.......... I'm one pi$$ed off person right now.............
Ya'll want to come down and get MGM and ride him every other day to work and home to the barn? He needs some miles put on....... If so call me........
