and the folks who made the lights stumped!!!!  The tail light assemblies on my trike have three functions--tail, turn, stop.  These are an LED array which has a chip incorporated into it, to differentiate between the functions.  Tail & turn work correctly.  Brake lights flash erratically, with either the foot or lever being used.  Which, of course sort of wipes out any useful turn signal indication.  If I wire the brake light lead directly to the battery, (hot side & ground) the brake lights work correctly, UNTIL I turn on the ignition switch.  Then the brake lights do that flashing thing!  I have tried every combination of connect/disconnect of the various wires, with and without the ignition on.  No matter the configuration, as soon as the ignition switch is on, the brake lights flash.  I have had numerous conversations with the tech support folks at the mfgr, and they too are stumped.  So can any of you folks come up with any ideas?  I am in WAY over my head here and I don't swim all that well.  TIA  Stan

just do what i did..my rear lights on my trike are the same way..run,turn and stop..when i hit the brake the lights flash 3 times then stay bright..everybody that rode behind me really got confused because i would throw on a turn signal and hit the brake..they had no clue where i was going..i mounted a set of halogen small bullet lights under the trunk for turn signals and now my rear fender lights are just run and stop..i eliminated the turnsignals from those lights.

Here is my suggestion. If you don't have the ground wire already attached to the battery, run a wire temporarily from the battery ground to the ground for those lights. Be sure that any ground you have connected to the lights right now is disconnectioned. I always look to the ground system when things work strangely.

3W-lonerider--mine is an interstate so I have brake lights on the tour box, so I have disconnected the brake light function in the LED array, but would sure like to have those bright brake lights as well

maybe wire them as if they were a trailer. the 3 wire to 4 wire converter or what ever that thing was i bought to hook up a trailer.

I'd look for a loose GROUND someplace.

It sounds from your description it is running around trying to find a ground.......

I had those same lights on a trailer I built and sold.

Worked great once I got the ground nailed down.

If ya can't find a loose wire, or maybe you eleiminated a ground wire in the conversion.   I'd just run a ground to the battery from them with the other supposedly ground wire disconnected.

If they are running all three functions out of one set of leds then they didn't design the thing correctly. I have something like it on my pickup its supposed to do all three things but when you put the running lights on then the thing wont be as bright on the stop lights. They use mostly resistors, and diodes and then name them chips I doubt they have a chip in there. It takes quite a bit more engineering to use a chip than resistors and diodes. Plus the cost will be more. LEDS are mostly 2 brightness that's pretty much it, the rest is engineering some dont put in the time to really make it work correctly. Also different vehicles can do different things with the same set up. It has to do with voltages and how the vehicles electrical system is. I would recommend that you get yourself a stop/running light and then get a separate turn signals,t this will give good results in brightness and in just plain working reliably.
