A lot of People do not know ole Marty Robbins was a Nascar Car Driver for a while.

He was thought pretty much a joke, until as instructed in the Drivers Safety Meeting

if you are about to T-Bone another driver sitting on the track, the instruction was drive your call into

the wall so as not to kill the other driver sitting still on the the track.


Well it happens that it occurred and he remembered and drove his car into the wall to save the other driver.

this is not hear say my Dad used to work the Nascar Pit Crews( GAS MAN) and he was there when it happened.

This is what got it all started.

Liked that Video Big IV.

Here's one that goes right by my house near Knoxville Tennessee.

This ole running of illegal liqour got NASCAR or Stack Car Racing on the books and

part of Americana.

I saw him race at Darlington in the early 70s. He spun out 3 times and still finished in the top 10. Not too bad for the first time.
