I don't have an Interstate, but I can say I only got caught in the rain a couple of times with a windshield
that I had to look through...

Then I got a shorter windshield.

Pete, I think that windshield has been out for several years now.  I had one on my first Inerstate and was satisfied with it.  Murdoc has one on his current bike, send him a PM and he will let ya know what he thinks of it.

I'd recommend you also look at CeeBaileys:

I've been using the Tulsa Tall Windshield on my Interstate since I got it maybe five years ago, and I have absolutely no complaints. It's tall enough that I need to look through it, rather than over, because I'm only 5'6". I get none of the buffeting from the wind on my helmet that I get with my son's Goldwing, which makes for a less fatiguing ride at long distances. I guess I did have one time when it was raining on a muddy road and I had trouble seeing and had to look around it for a little bit, but I didn't think it was a big deal. Hope it helps.

A friend has one on his I/S and the only problem I've had with it is if I don't watch out I'll hit my head on the top edge while getting on and off the bike. I seem to lean forward while throwing my leg over seat.

Same here on all the above, except kinda of thinking about getting another with the wing vent in the windshield for really hot Florida days. I do prefer to look through rather than over, due to being hit with various stuff over the years...

I've been whacked with stuff that would have left a mark if I hadn't had the full face on...  cooldude

I put one on my IS 5 years ago when I got it.  I love it! I look through, but can look over if I stretch.  It has 75k mi on it and still looks almost new.

Only way I could look over that would be to stand on the boards (which I do enjoy on the backroads, but not in the rain).
