I was told to get my Valk out of the parking lot at an HD dealer in Ocala, they told me they were not in business to sell Jap Crap.

My wife told me I am worse than any Harley rider with my Valk.  I've run across more snooty GoldWingers than I have HD.  I see the banter as good-hearted for the most part and deviously enjoy it when somebody takes offense.  It makes my day. Evil

+1 on the snotty 'Wingers

Iwas told to get my Valk out of the parking lot at an HD dealer in Ocala, they told me they were not in business to sell Jap Crap. I said no problem cuz mine is not for sale. I was looking for a nice chrome peg for my kickshifter, I dropped it where I stood and drove off on my Jap Crap.
Jeez, I've been to that HD dealer many times, on Valks, my Rocket 3, & even Kim's SS750 which really is a Sportster knock off. Shocked
I have spent $$$ with them on gifts for HD ridin' friends & even highway pegs for our Hondas as well. Been to several charity rides that were based & sponsored by Ocala HD & their sister store HD of Crystal River too. Never a bad word from anyone at either store. The service manager at HD of CR is an old racing buddy of mine from Brooksville & we give each other "the business" about my bike preferences everytime. BTW, God Bless them for the charity events they help with.... there is a Yamaha shop & a multi-line H,S,K, & Polaris shop right up the road from them that I have yet to see sponsor anything charitable.
I'm all against the immature HD owner attitude that is VERY prevelant in this area of the country but I have learned to ignore it {unless it's directed squarely at me} & I actually find great humor in watching the Pirate crowd in operation.  Roll Eyes I know what I've got & I'm totally satisfied with my choices. I've ridden all makes & own Valks for reasons that a lot of HD folks aren't capable of understanding but that's their loss not mine.
Our Valks at HD of Ocala.

Was at Connie's birthday party this evening, (James's girlfriend). Her uncle was their and we were shooting the breeze outside. I picked up that he is a rider, HD Ultra Glide, I think is what he said. I told him I ride a Honda Valkyrie Interstate. Figured that was enough. He immediately responded, "I bet that thing's got lots of power", with almost a little envy in his voice. Agreed to ride together some day soon. Like I said, not all are alike, those that ride, will ride and not give a hoot what ya ride.
