Hello, I've been following this forum for a while from the shadows. Thought I'd post just to let you know I'm here. I ride an 02 Valkyrie, I've been riding different bikes since I was 14 legally but got out of biking when life's challenges started taking priority like raising two kids. Well, they're grown now and a few years ago I started getting back into things I enjoy. I have a collection of Pontiac Fieros (six of them, all have something different pushing them down the road) that I like to restore, auto cross and show from time to time. But, they just weren't fulfilling my needs so I searched until I found what I wanted in a Valkyrie last summer. Bought it with 4 K miles on it. Put about 6 K on it since purchased.
My friend Dana from KS has been a Valkhound for years. He tells me my bike has what's called a skunk stripe. OK, that works for me. It's a black Valkyrie with a red stripe down the middle the length of the bike. I hope to join you on the Whiskey Run in June but we'll have to see how work is scheduled. Anyway, just wanted to say hi. Take care and ride like someone else would miss and needs you to come back from that ride.
My name is Ron but, I go by blackrams. Cya.

Thanks JD, I live in Frankfort, KY, that's why I have been following the Whiskey Run. Actually, I was reared near El Dorado, KS. That's how I know Dana. blackrams

Thanks for the link. I had no idea. I looked long and hard to find exactly what I wanted. I was actually shooting for an 03 standard model but found this one in FL. Bought it and had it shipped to me. As I tell my other friends, I have found the perfect bike for me. Thanks again. blackrams

I thought I'd get to know the group a little before announcing my political views but, since you asked, I'm not a fan, my views are to the right of those individuals. I see my children, grand children and great grand children paying for a social agenda. Hopefully my stated views won't get me banned before I reach double digit posts. blackrams

Ha... you'll fit right in with MOST of us... but there are a few Liberal Whacko's in the woodpile too. Personally, I hate the reps and the dems both, and think they are BOTH taking us to the cleaners. Jabba

Well, that gets us to at least 60 of the Black/red stripe. Batch 131 Batch 163 and 165 Batch 235.
20 each, total of 60.

no, No, NO! Pictures of the bike man@! We wonna see pics of your black/red 2-wheeled machine. Welcome to the asylum, you're gonna like it here. There are a lot of great people in the VRCC. And you can find just about any info you need about the Valkyrie by posting in the TECH section. Many, many knowledgable people on here. I haven't gotten to ride all week, been out of town for most of it for work. Think I'm gonna go ride the phat girl for a while! Here is a pic of a few bikes from the Houston area. Mine's on the left, green and silver. I really hope to see you at Inzane10 up in Michigan. Again, welcome! Hay Jimmyt

Hay Jimmyt Well, I probably won't make it to Inzane, this economy has taken a toll on what I can and can't do but, the pic of my Valkyrie now appears to be posted correctly thanks to someone. Previously, the pic you and I saw said no hot linking, I guess I'm gonna have to figure out what that means. Apparently, that's what I did. Didn't intend to break any rules but, it is what it is. blackrams
