'99 Valk rear drive rebuild

HELP!!!   I am in the process of putting new bearings and seals in my final drive.  All parts came out rather easily untill I got to the pinion needle bearing.  All that is left in the casing is the outer shell----I have tried a blind puller and mild heat with no luck.  Is their a trick to this or do I just have a stubborn bearing.  Dad always said" Quit before you break something"!!!  Any suggestions appreciated.

There is a wire ring on that bearing. You will not pull it out in one piece.
I've heard of people that drilled the access hole larger and fished the wire out, and I've heard of people that shattered the bearing to get it out. But I've pulled with some tough equipment, it isn't going to pull out.

Well-----several hours later I was able to split outer bearing shell into three parts and removal was a snap.  It sure seems like a strange way to build something with a bearing that is almost non-removablebut------alas,  the rebuild begins.  Thanks for the insight!
