The design is 4 1/2 inches long.

Uhmmmm, what is that in mm's?

The mfg are working on the mold for the design and hope to have a sample by mid-week.
I will know the exact price next week as well.

There are two different ways to attach the design. We put in two sleeves in the bottom of the design that can be used with bolts to attach it to the fender. Or there is a 3M two sided adhesive tape (very sticky) that is used by many motorcycle and car dealerships.

If folks don't like the price of a solid one they'll never pop for 3x-4x the price needed to make an illuminated one. That would require molds for the metal and plastic parts, the parts themselves, lamp sockets & method of attaching the lens & metal parts together so that they could be easily separated for bulb changing. Dag, I appreciate that you're having them made here to take advantage of cheap American labor Wink Put me down for one if it happens  cooldude

Yes, but first opportunity will be at InZane.  After InZane we'll make the ornaments available by mail order.  I'll hold the price announcement until then.

I'm actually considering turning one into a pen and pencil desk set by mounting it on a walnut base.  I can see lots of cool designs around that. Part of a picture holder, business card "take one" display, desk name plate, etc.  Roll Eyes I'm sure something like that is what I'll do with the one I put on The Dark Lady when I'm forced to retire from riding her.  Sad

What ever happened to these ornaments??  Just curious. Last I heard, they were going to be offered first to the folks at Inzane, then to those of us that were not as fortunate to have been able to go. Cry

We did sell a few of the twenty-five at InZane.

We (some of us) have just gotten home and are beginning to catch up.

We intend to offer the fender ornaments at $63.95 but it will be just a bit before we're ready to accept orders.  Please be patient with us.

As an aside, when I saw the actual item, it appeared to me that even someone who isn't particularly interested in a fender ornament may want one of the maidenheads to mount on a base as a desk ornament.

there is a curve to the bottom that is intended to fit the fender.

If I remember correctly (they're not currently in my possession) some had two threaded holes in the bases and some had solid bases with double sided tape.

They all have both the threaded inserts and the double sided tape. Carl before you ship these open them and inspect. I sold one at Inzane that had some chrome chipped. That happened to be the first one that I sold. After it was returned I had everyone unwrap them as they bought them. We never found another one that was unacceptable. This might save some shipping headaches.

I have been waiting patiently angel, (not really,  tickedoff  ), for someone to post a photo of a Maidenhead gracing a fender. This thread has been lain lifeless for almost a month. Has anyone put one on their Valk and if so, would you post a picture? Thanks.

Are there any updates on where to order one of these little ladies?  Ya'll got us all worked up and then left us hanging! Some of us are chrome junkies and can't take this kind of teasing.        I NEED A FIX OF SHINY!

I order my tank badges last week. (The one in my sig. That's my wife's face.) It will probably be a few weeks before I get them, but I'm looking forward to it.
