Got my new works shocks installed and what an improvement.  Now I have progressive 440's I don't need.  The 550's didn't work out for me>>> I am a bit large and the ride from the 440's wasn't comfortable but the works shocks ride very good.  Happy choice for me.  I think Jabba was on the fence on whether or not to order these,, I say do it!!!

what kind ? and number did you get?
13" Steel trackers  DRS with ARS.  when ordering they ask about the weights of you and your passenger along with the percentage of time you ride 2 up and how much cargo weith you carry when packed up for a trip.  They use this info for custom spring and valve setup.

http://www.worksperformance.com/html/street_twin_steel_trackers_drs_ars.html

I now have an un-needed used pair of Progressive 440's (they have shims from progressive to add an additional 20 percent preload they can be easily removed in need be) if anyone is interested in making an offer.  I could ship them to Michigan for Inzane, I am shipping my anti snore machine (cpap) and cold add these to the box for a small increase in shipping cost.  We could share the cost of shipping and the shocks could be installed during Inzane >>>  I also have the shock tool ($36) that is sold by progressive.

Glad you dig them Cliff.

I think I want them... but I have not scraped up the $550 yet.

How long did it take to get them?

Well Cliff.  I just ordered mine on your recommendation.

I opted for the street tracker.  They have the billet body, with the threaded adjustable pre-load option, as well as the ARS cup for adjusting the crossover point on the dual rate springs.

I told them I needed them by July 14th.  for a July 16th ride.

Holy CRAP!!! $700.

The guy told me I could add TPL to the steel trackers for $50 upcharge... or just go with the STreet trackers for $90 up charge.  So I got the pretty ones for essentially $40 more.

Yeah, I am pretty sure.

Did you order online or CALL them?
I called them and ordered over the telephone.

I placed the order on the telephone> that way I was able to ask questions.  Functionaly other than the tpl the street trackers you ordered should work as well/same as the steel trackers > I think you'll like them!

Right... the only difference is the LOOK and the fact that they have the threaded preload adjuster as a stock feature which is a $50 adder for the steel tracker.  Once I got within $40 of the cost, I figured What the HELL right?

Yep, same here. Ordered the Street Trackers earlier this week. My wife has been complaining about the rough ride and she has actually lifted off the seat a couple times. Just remember- When mamas happy, everybodies happy. She said order the shocks. They are spendy, but she is worth it.  ;)  Now, if I can just get the front shocks changed out soon.

Uh... she the wife or she the Fat Lady?  I woulf think the answer to both those questions is yes.

You know... I already bought an IS for the wife's benefit.  Now I gotta buy MORE motorcycyle stuff!  Man... that woman is SUCH a demanding broad!   :2funny: :2funny:

All i know is... when I sell the IS... I am keeping the shocks...

I just had these rebuilt after several years of riding. It took over a month for a rebuild.

Jabba

If the month was February, and you live where I live... no  problem!!
