Anyone know where to get hold of a rear fender solo rack to fit a 98 tourer?  Show Chrome used to have them, but seems that they are no longer in production or available from most supply houses.  I have removed the rear seat and have a fender bib with low grab rail across the back, but would really like to get hold of a fender rack.  I had one on my previous Valkyrie.

Wow, you are right.  The Cruisercustomizing says the part has been discontinued and Directline Parts doesn't have any either.

I got one, BUT, it is not for sale...................

I found it in oHIo at the shop where I bought their Valkyrie window sign.

He had 2 or 3 hanging on the wall and I grabbed one.

Can't remember the name of the store, but it was something like Lima, OH.

I just went and looked and can't even find the "T" shirt he gave me.

I think this was the place.

Sent the e-mail.... fingers crossed that they still have at least one left.  I think this rack will fit the Shadow Ace as well. So if anyone knows an Ace rider who may have one and wants to get rid of it, please let me know.

The shadow should fit it also, I'm sure you will find one out there. I have one that I put on from time to time. Mostly I leave the back seat on, but when I get ready to take the wife for a ride, I put it on. It is only a matter of days before I hear, "I can't believe you took off the back seat, I was thinking we might go for a ride this weekend!" It works every time!  Roll Eyes

Thanks Wingman.  I'm lucky enough to have an 05 GoldWing in the garage as well, so keeping the Valkyrie as a solo is a long term situation.  The wife hated riding on the Valkyrie

This guy in Germany has them:

http://www.valkyrieparts.de/webshop/show_product.php?products_id=544

I got some triple tips from him recently, took a couple weeks for shipping. I also had to email him (his name is Deiter), as his website apparently is not set up for shipping to US. Shipping is very expensive from him ($35-$40 or so), so you may want to look around his website and get a few things or else get someone else to get another solo rack. Most of his stuff is a little high, but he has a few things I have not seen before.

I am pretty sure I got the last new solo rack to be had in the US earlier this year. You still find them listed here and there, but no one seems to have them anymore. Crappy welding, but functions well as a 12-pack-transport, especially with a cruiser bar.

I got one last year, along with a brand new Mustang Fender bib. Yes, they are discontinued and very hard to find, and expensive when you find one. I was and might still be considering configuring my I/S for a Super Valk set up (quick release trunk).  I have to either get the project done or let it go and stick with the trunk.  I like the trunk, but I also like the look without (solo).   I will give it some more thought here.... but might... just might...make them available after some more thought.  Good luck on your search for one.... and if you don't have any luck..... let me know....

Thanks for all of the input from everyone.  I finally bought a solo rack for a Shadow Ace and did some mods to the attachment brackets.  Got it to fit and now have the look I was after.  Mod chrome and goodies to come though.
Thanks again everyone

Any solo rack or trike fender racks from show chrome will work. Rather they are for Honda, Suzuki or Yamaha. The racks are all identical. The only difference is the mounting brackets in the package. I made an aluminum bracket to fit the passenger seat bolt holes with a grinder, file and drill press.

I am more partial to the tubular type... that flatlook is not for me.  I am looking around for what I want as well.  And I'll find the deal eventually... This is what is on my Ace and maybe I'll get another one to modify the bracket.
