Another rescue

Safe

I left this chap alone

It was about 18 inches head to tail

This home also had a separate copper roofed 3 car garage

Nice photos, looks like a great trip.  I had to save a box turtle crossing the driveway at work a couple of weeks ago.

Good call on leaving that snapping turtle alone.

They have more bite range than you think and when they clamp you must cut thier head off

to remove the Jaws.

Nasty Business and wise choice you made.

But I heard they make great meat for soup and taste mostly like wait for it...................................................

Chicken.

I don't want to hijack a thread, but want to say I have made ' snapper soup ', in the past and it's great.  .... But after a day with the head cut off it will still snap and try to bite.

We (briefly) considered copper when we made our standing seam roof. Copper was $350 a roll back
then, galvanized steel was around $35 a roll... this picture doesn't show all the rolls...

A couple of years ago when copper thieving was all the rage I imagined how awful it would be to
come home and find that some sack-of-**** had stolen your roof...

Do they use solid copper or is it a copper laminate on another substrate? EDIT - did a quick Google search to find it's solid copper. Bloody hell!!!

My photo doesn't do the roof justice. It was glowing in the sunlight.

Unless they tried to clear-coat it or something, it'll get green or even black...
