Check the plugs and they were a lighter color after about 120 miles, I'm sittin about 2 1/2 turns out on mixture srews. OUT OF IDEAS PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...did you replace the exhaust donuts? and is your exhaust tighten down correctly...if so then it sounds like a vacuum leak to me...you are drawing air from somewhere....

I have not synced the carbs yet, I replaced the exhaust gaskets today un able to ride it yet (daddy duty), the needles are 3rd from top, and I do know I rode the bike after the carb work and stock exhaust was still on and it didn't do it.

what is the right way to tighten the header? When I did it i got it snug and what looked to be even for the flanges with doing a little at a time, don't really know how someone would get a torque wrench on the nuts but I don't think I got over tight.

Snug header bolts from the middle working out. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Torque to 7lbs. Yes, you can get on them all with a 1/4" drive torque wrench, tight spots use a combo wrench as an extension. Box end on the bolt, open end on the torque wrench. Just use the wrench as an extenion of the torque wrench. After your next several rides, re-check your torque. You will be able to tighten it up.
