Went with a friend ( yea Crazyhorse you know who) today to look at a 2000 Interstate with 8K on the odometer so I was expecting to see a slick ride.  It was nice, and seemed to run good, but the guy was really clumsy or something. A lot of scratches on the bags, the fenders, dent in one header pipe (on the top!) and all the header pipes were golden tinted. Asking was $7500 and BigChaff is considering his counter offer till Monday.
If I had the money I would start a Valkyrie Rescue Farm. I've got enough acreage to get things going and can start accepting donations now. Who wants to go first? I'll take cash or used Valkyries.

it's really amazing to think of how some people give their bikes the most TLC and others just trash 'em!!  the guy i bought my 99 IS from didn't have a scratch on it!!   then again, he was 73 years old, and he bought the bike new!  it's the kids i tell you!!  before i even paid for the cycle my daughter put a nice inch long gouge on the side cover!!  she didn't tell me until we got it home!  then my son thought that he could put his feet on the saddle bags while he rode, scratching the daylights out of the tops!!!  a few more from bicycles in the garage......  my poor cycles starting to look like it's eleven years old!!!
