I got an email from Verizon warning that Frontier would take over effective July 1.  Check account status, password ,etc.  I felt ok with that until I tried to check my account.  I evidently don't have an account, no password, no user id, no nothing.  Two hours of online screwing around mixed with  waiting for "the next available person' etc, automated BS, even an unhelpful chat person and I finally reached a real person on Verizon's customer complaint section who said that she would connect me with the tech support, followed by two minutes of fiddle dee dee of a RTTY line and then a dial tone.  All forms of  communication to Verizon are apparently down due to super high volume.  I shouldn't even have tried to check my account.

I need an attitude adjustment.  I'm going riding, now it's motorcycle related.

Same deal here Wayne. My email was down most of last evening. I messed with it awhile & didn't get anywhere. I didn't pursue it any further though. I just shut the darn thing off and this morning everything was working again. I can hardly wait for the July 1 changeover. We'll see if it's as "seamless" as we have been told it will be. These computer things drive me  crazy2

my opinion of service-provider email is: it's the pits.

Let the service providers route your IP packets, and use google or wahoo or someone for email...

Sheet, I must be lucky as I haven't got one of them yet......

About ready to change providers anyway, this might be the time to move on.

Agree....   with service providers coming and going and piss poor service anyhow.... I opted for webmail and have been happy so far.  No more email changes (I hope).... regardless of who the service provider is.   I have Verizon (DSL) and they keep wanting me to get FIOS..... price is coming down now so maybe I will check FIOS out.
