The wife bought me a 30" shop fan from Harbor Frieght.  The thing works great, almost hurricane force winds,  Alex ain't got nothing on this!!!

Actually it's not quite that much but it does put out some air.  Unfortunately it's noisy, even on low speed when the blade gets up to speed.  Sounds like a airplane prop.

Googled "quiet fan blades" and didn't come up with much except I never knew there was such a problem with noisy PC fans.

Would anyone know where I could go to find different fan blades, maybe with different pitches or shapes?

Or maybe somehow to "reshape" the ones I got?

We use these fans sometimes.  Kinda' pricey, but you can record audio while you make wind. Cool

Pull the fan out of a furnace or an A/C and set it up on a base (flat board.)   Add a switch and you is good to go.   I also put a door handle, old screen door type on the top of it so as to carry it if need to.   Sorry, no pictures.........

I have one in my back garage and we have 2 at my son's shop.   Works great and we can talk on the phone standing right next to it.   Just don't have any papers laying loose near by.

My garage, it keeps the leaves on the outside........  Along with any dust bunnies or anything that can't withstand the stream of air......   It is very usful to cool an engine down so as to work on it also, bike engine that is.   Too hard to get it to a car engine, however we did use a flex tube a couple of times on a rush job.
