The Interstate that I am buying had a hydrolock condition about 30K miles ago. The current owner had it repaired at D&S Honda, Kawasaki in Arlington. For those of you that have gone to a pingel, did you go with the 1311CH model or the 1311CHV model? Was there another Pingel model that you went with? Is it easy to install? Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated.     Smiley

I went with the CH model.  I don't know that there is any good reason to stay away from the CHV, other than personal preference.
I don't know of any other model that would work.  They all seem to point in different directions, and that one matches stock the best.  As for ease of installation, it was a piece of cake.  Empty the tank as much as possible (insert ride here), then pull it off.  Tip it forward to slosh remaining fuel to the front.  Unscrew the old one.  Screw in the new one.  Reinstall tank.  Place vacuum cap over intake runner that used to feed vacuum to your old petcock.  Install hoseclamp over fuel line, and reattach (hose clamp is usually necessary since the Pingel's nipple is slightly smaller than stock).  Install tank.  Install fuel.  Ride.

Paul,

Instead of an e-mail, I just sent you a personal message on the TX Board.      cooldude
