I have a bought a 250 audio box cruise control that requires a vehicale speed sensor, VSS, signal to operate.  With the cable driven speedometer I can't locate a VSS signal.  Audio box's directions say do not hook to the coil or tack.  I have seen some information about doing this with an electric speedometer.  Could there be a signal from the electronic control unit (aka ECU or brain)?  If anyone has any instructions or points of reference or general ideas, please let me know.

To have a vss you would need an i/s.  The standard/tourers don't have one.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I hooked mine to the coil on the left side of the frame.
