Met lots of old friends, made some new. If I mention all I'll forget some, curse of old age, you know who you are.

Lots of hugs from Lyn-Del and others, last minute hug from Karen.   cooldude

A possibly too spirited drive in the Miata with Lothar as co-pilot, the Devil made me do it.  Wink

A brief run down a golf cart path and a turnaround after crossing a golf cart bridge. I can't remember who I asked to move his foot so I could drive the Miata between him and a rock and get turned around.  So much for directions to a nice "All you can eat" fish fry restaurant Grin

Bringing up the rear on the way to the Bellaire block part, then found out that the Miata has four wheels as I was not allowed to park with Valks .  Parking the Miata two blocks away then finding out that the very nice LEO's of Bellaire would've let me park anywhere, oh well Smiley

Watching Smokin' Joe every morning as he drank coffee sitting outside on his balcony.  Arm waving as we tried to communicate through the glass of the hallway when I was on my way to breakfast.

The surprise of meeting with VRCC'rs who seemed to like my little stories, what a feeling, made my day more than once.

The thinking that something was missing then realizing it was because my fellow old fart RJ couldn't make it.  RJ, get better! cooldude

All in all, a great Inzane for me, even though you would've had to set stakes to see if I was moving, especially going up and down those lobby steps, oh well, good exercise for me.

I could go on but won't.

It was nice seeing you again.  I did not hear about the golf course stroll...  did ya get a picture?  I am sure you were not the only one that wanted to explore the golf course.

Marcia, no I didn't get a picture. We were in a big hurry to get about 6 Valkyries and one Miata out of there. Grin Grin

solo,

saw your miata, missed you.  i was really looking forward in meeting you.  maybe next year!!!  i was only there for wednesday night, left thursday morning in the rain, had to work on friday.

i'm really happy to be part of this club.  i've met some excellent people from all over america, seen some beautiful parts of canada and drove next to the canadian rail road that my father helped build before he came to america.

this club of guys (and girls) have made me look at things in a different light, from a different view.  i will always be thankful for all of you's.

Wayne, you walked by right as we rolled up to the hotel entrance about 5:20 on Sat night.  I wanted to say hi... but never saw you again.  Sorry I missed you.

Lori (my SO) wants to come for the whole shebang next year.  I think she was surprised at how nice everyone was.  Thanks everyone that approached me to talk.  That went a LONG way toward making my wife feel so comfortable with everyone.

Dran, I'm sorry Jabba, i apologise.  I'll have to come down your way. I always rode 135 every year on the Valk and stayed at the Hampton in Edinburg, haven't done that lately.  Not too far away.

Wayne, that was the last hug of my trip, so it was obviously the best. Great to finally meet you, see you next year.

If you come down this way again Wayne... let me know, and you can save your pennies and sleep in my guest room.  I live about 1 mile west of 135, south of Greenwood.

Wayne,

You are the measure of many of us...  I can only hope.    Take care, and I'm glad to be able to call you friend.  See you next time.   I was surely impressed with that "hitting stick" you carried on the first day.  You didn't seem to need it after that (LOL)!!!!   Glad you enjoyed your InZane... I certainly did.   I look forward to next time also...  Later buddy!

Paul, yeah I didn't trust my right knee that's why the staff.  After a day or so of climbing those stairs in slow motion, the exercise did it good.  Seeing an orthopaedic guy Thursday.

Wayne, I enjoyed our chat on the balcony while sipping some scotch and water Saturday afternoon. Lord willing, we shall do it again one day. And RJ, there's always room for one more so get rid of that fool tank so you can join us next time.  Wink
