I have the 450.  It has never steered me wrong!
Music player is awesome, too.
And the waterproofing is tops.  It's been through several downpours and never a single glitch.

665. I really appreciate the weather radar. The XM radio is okay. My unit is behaving badly though as it just turns itself off for no reason. I sometimes have to remove the battery to get it to turn back on. It's going in for a little rehab.

550, love it, but it HAS steered me wrong before.  Mostly little things, like having addresses on the wrong side of the road, but more than once it's taken me to a vacant lot (once it was a gorge) and announced my arrival at my destination.  That time I had to call the hotel.....

What I love most about having the GPS is the comfortable freedom to explore without worrying about being lost forever.  Kinda like having a map with a "you are HERE" arrow.

We also have TomTom Rider GPS.  It was TomTom that beached me on that Virginia mountain, but it wasn't the GPS fault, it was the maps it was designed from.

The biggest thing is that Garmin has great customer service, TomTom?  Well, it took a year but I finally know the name of the guy who can get it done.  In other words, their customer service sucks.  And all I wanted was to BUY a mount for the existing unit.

I’ve used Garmin units since 97.  I’m looking at the new Zumo 660, but I have to wonder…  The new smart phones like the iPhone and the soon-to-be-released Windows 7 phones have built-in GPS receivers as well as MP3 players, not to mention a data link to the Internet and bluetooth.  Waterproof covers are available for these phones, and they can be mounted like a dedicated GPS.

Other than XM radio, what other reason is there for a GPS over a smart phone?

Jack of all trades, master of none...

The smart phones are getting there, and eventually will get there, but a dedicated GPS still can't be beat, IMHO... It's what it does, and it does it well. The screens are bigger, they boot up faster and get to the maps quicker, etc...

Zumo 550 with Scala Rider Multiset Q2.

Works great.  I can map out a ride, download it to the GPS and a bluetooth voice tells me where to turn.  Great if your leading a group ride........

just ask Britman!  LOL

and if your tailgunner has a zumo you can transfer the route to his via memory card and he then has the route also in case someone gets left behind or to anticipate a lane change... works great... and when the tailgunner is Pharmboy your in good hands!!!!
