I just got a Clearview windshild for my CT from a private party with out a vent (windshield is cut for one) I contacted Clearview and they said I could buy one form them or just get one from Honda as that is the same one they use and sell. So I got one for a GL1500 and while it does fit (sort of ) I am now wondering if the one for the GL1800 is the same or is it slightly larger? I actually have some gaps on the sides and the fit is not that great. anyone know if they are?

I don't have the answer for you, deez, but I know these guys sell both vents.  Their customer service dept. may be able to help.

Ebay is where I got the vent I have now (advertised as a GL1500 unit), like I stated, it fits, but not well which makes me think maybe the 1800 was just a little bit larger. I have a post also on the goldwing board so when I get a response I will post the results here.

deez,
I had a vent in my clearview windshield go out and just ordered a new one last week. There are several different ones listed on ebay motors. The one that fit mine ('97 Tourer) was the one with the slotted vent on the inside of the shield. You'll probably have to see the picture on ebay to understand what I mean. Anyway, they list from about $45 up to about $60 cooldude, which is much less than the local steeler wanted, $102. The part no. is a honda part no. #45-1252N. This is listed for the GL1800. They are all tinted, as was my original, even though my shield is clear. I ordered it from Honda Line Direct. Just my 2cents, hope this helps.

Clearview uses the 1800 Wing vents.
