There sure is a lot to like about Texas, my friend!  It has been too long since I been, so I'm gonna try real hard to make the GOTF 2011.  Can't wait!

Very Cool, Pat!  My son moved to Houston last year.  You have just given me more reasons to go for a visit!

Thanks!

Good video, Dag.  You and I like some of the same things about Texas.

I was actually born in Longview, Texas in 1951 and spent most of the first six years of my life there.  I have a daughter, SIL, and grandboy in San Antonio.  I have numerous truly good friends who ride Valkyries and Harleys scattered all over the Republic.

I enjoy going back to visit friends and family in Texas.

Native Texan, but I married an Okie Gal and can't complain.  I have been to almost all the places in the videos.  Texas is a magnificant place, from the lakes and tember of the east to the arrid lands around El Passo and from the Gulf Coast to the farm and ranch land of the Panhandle.  For the most part the people are helpful and friendly.  I have lived in the larger cities, but prefer the smaller town folks.  It is a much slower pace there with much less stress...JTL

Pat--It was great to meet you and Deb and truly enjoyed your company when we barged in on your dinner!
Great videos!  Dag's--yours was cool seeing folks we recognize!
We spent 5 years in the greater Houston area and have been back a couple of times.  Got to see some of the state, but, not enough!  We plan on spending a winter exploring the entire state once we retire and have the time!
Mark and Charlene---sounds like you guys will have quite a Michigan invasion come the first of April--we'll be there by bike, car and plane!!
Looking forward to seeing everyone!!

Cool slideshow!  I am a native Texan, Texas vet, two degrees from UT @ Austin, older son graduated from A&M.  Great place!  Had a roommate who was a big buddy with Gary P Nunn who sang in the slideshow.  Used to watch Willie for a $1 cover charge.
