I would like to know where some of you bought your shorty tinted windshield for your Interstate assuming you didn't modify your original windshield. I don't want to try and cut mine down myself as I know I will screw it up. I found a shorty (black) windshield from Clearview, but want to know if other vendors sell a shorty tinted shield. So, if those of you that have a shorty tinted windshield on your Interstate would like to reccommend a vendor, I would appreciate it. I'm going to Supervalk my Interstate and want to either go with a smoke tint or black tint. TIA...      Smiley

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

By black do you mean its solid black, unable to see thru it? I had a clear on my bat wing but went with dark smoke. I like it. I like the looks and can still see thru it at night, although I mostly look over it. Its like looking thru sun glasses. I have a HD bud who has black with a skull design on his EG but he doesn't travel with it. You cannot see thru it. My other HD bud hates his smoke, has trouble seeing thru it. Might be best to look thru one before you drop a chunk on buying one, unless you can return it with no prob.

Here's a Clearview (opaque black, not for me).  Clearview talks about a dark gray tint for Sport shields, but I don't see a sport shield for IS.

Here's a Cee Bailey (dark gray tint, I could live with).

The Clearview shield (Black), cannot see through it is an option, but I was looking for a smoke (brownish color) tint. Just havn't found one yet. The Cee Bailey (dark gray tint) could be an option if I don't find what I'm looking for. Thanks for the responses so far....

I have a smoke Clearview recurve on my Harley. I would check with them and see if they have a recurve for the I/S. The recurve lets you have a shorter shield that you can look over, with an air pocket and keeps the wind buffeting away.

My Window tint guy said he can tint a Valk windshield just as easy as any piece of automotive glass...any color or shade you want! worth looking into...maybe a custom tint job with flames or your name/logo ? ? ?

I have the Clearview short black shield like the one above.  I don't mind not being able to see thru it.  The only time I wish I could have seen thru it was in the Bike Rodeo game called "Ride the Board" or something like that.  I couldn't see my front fender to see how well I was aligned with the 1X4 board we had to ride on.  Other than that, I like the additional wind in my face in the summer.

Just my $.02.
