Should have left it alone.
Looks awesome but wouldn't want to have to ride it.
Is that legal ??
I love it, is it for sale?

Hey Meancana,
Hope you don't mind, I fixed your links to show the pics.

To make them show in your posts, copy the photo URL.  Then when you post, hit the image icon, the cursor should be in the correct place, so just right click and paste.

Very nice on the bike, BTW.  cooldude

I love it.

The way I see it, as these bikes get a little older, they will start to need face lifts, that is when the real customizing will begin to happen.(like yours) It does not matter what it looks like, or what you made it into, what does matter is that it is a Valkyrie, that you ride, and that looks like a FUN RIDE!

I also made considerable changes to my valkyrie. I got a lot of thumbs up at Inzane, and I also heard a few whispers that were not all that appreciative of the changes. Does not matter, I changed it for my self, not for others.

I really like it. . . .  My son and I have been talking about picking up a Standard and basically doing what you did' 'making it into a single seat drag type bike.' We're probally going to pick up a car first for my wife. We have our eye on a 68 Mustang, (the car she really wants) but if I could swing it and had the garage space, I'd get another bike and copy some of your ideas. I really like the drag bars. Very cool. I think the BIGGEST car tire that would fit would look (and perform) good on that type of set up, no? Also, I would probably drop some of the chrome (I know; that's blaspheme here!!!!) I'd drop the radiator chrome cover for sure . . .  and maybe the crash bar up front as well . . . . Is that a Interstate tank? I like the 'Honda" on the back of the seat. Nice touch. I can't tell from the pic, but is there a brake light in the fender bob? Those monster pipes are cool too! Did you do anything inside the motor? Overall; "A+" and thanks for sharing. Please post some more pictures  cooldude

Very nice  cooldude I do think a car tire would match the flat top of the rear fender and compliment the overall build. Looks great.

No, the tank is not Interstate, the seat is actually the rear part of the stock seat, no modifications, just fit.....the brake lights, running and signals all work from the strut mounted red LED's, there's no light under the fender. The motor is bone stock except for a trigger wheel and K&N filter. Added more pictures to original post, thanks for the comments...

I love the look. All business. Clean and mean. I agree with the car tire suggestion. I might also add a short "trident-style" sissy bar, that follows the lines of the frame below the rear of the saddle. It could be gloss black to match. If your rig is as fast as it looks, you'll be sliding back on that flat seat. Just an idea, inspired by my own fat ass.              Mike in N.Y.

You hit the nail on the head!
Bobbing a Valk is something I have often thought of, the grace of the design lends itself to a dramatic look when done nicely and you've done it!

It looks "mean" but all fun! Evil

I'm not usually into bobbers,(touring guy) but, that one looks awesome. There are a couple that come to mind (most especially Moms bike) that can turn my head. Maybe because of the awesome bike you started with cooldude

How did you do the side covers? Modify them or are they from
another bike?

Always nice to see some original customization of  a Valk, looks very nice.

But, my back would never let me ride it more than a few miles (or maybe to the first watering hole  Cheesy )

Love it. Only thing I'd address are having such large mufflers out back when the rest of the back end has a minimalist look to it. But what great work you did.

Congratulations,

I shortened my 2bros cans about 8" but mine aren't slashcuts. They end right past the differental. I'm running a 225 car tire on mine and think yours would look awsome with one.

I like it however I think it would look much better with the stock side covers over the homemade one's .( I voted.... " Looks awesome but wouldn't want to have to ride it " . I can still remember my wife bitchin' about that back seat when I got my Valkyrie in 1998  tickedoff

I'm a big fan of bobbers and rat bikes, so a drag valk appeals to me. I like the rear seat up front and the home made side covers. Stock covers might look good too, but taking the time to make another set is cool. Looks nice.

Hey Slammer! How, in the world, do you keep your pipes so bright!?!?!?!?! The pipes look like they never left the showroom floor! Wow! What's your secret?

at a local shop, they looked like crap from discolor and someones attempt at useing black high temp paint and I use semi-chrome on the cans. The stuff was hard to find and expensive but worth the effort.

LOL - I missed those LED lights too! Now seeing the rear view, I like the bike even MORE! Those side covers are interesting. . . How did the radiator fliud over-flow fit? And, what did you do with the front cover? (right behind the engine?) Again, the 'cool points' on your creation is over the top my friend!
