Last year, I think I could count the number of Valks I saw the whole week on one hand.  I've already  seen about 15 or so this week.  If you're in Sturgis and on a Valk, give a shout out!

P.S.  When by the Ultimate Seats set-up today and purchased a King Bigboy seat.  MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE!  Thanks Ultimate Seats for fixing me up and giving me a good deal!   cooldude

Valkyrie sighting in Rawlins, WY on Monday by a coworker.  Perhaps she was going to Sturgis?

Got the King Bigboy rider seat, passenger seat and rider backrest with pouch for $830...they threw in the raincovers for free and are shipping my old seat back home free.  Not a WOW deal...but still nice!

Guys, I can't believe the number of Valks I'm seeing here at Sturgis.  If I've seen one, I've seen at least 30.  Talked to a couple of Valk owners that said they lurk on here, but never post.  Saw a GORGEOUS purple customized Valk on Main Street and wasn't able to catch up to him to talk to him.  Haven't seen Fudgie or Kit anywhere yet, but it is their honeymoon, you know.... Dave

They went on out West and will be coming back through tomorrow.

That's my understanding anyway.

Stay safe out there.   From my resource, 9 killed so far this year, not counting the 4 in Iowa returning from Sturgis a 'suspected' drunk driver got..    Other driver was out of sight of the officer for 2 hours, so he could walk on this one for DUI.

We pulled into Sturgis 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.  I attended in 07 & 08 and there are many more bikes this year than in those years. I have also noted the large # of Valks here. They make a fine long distance machine. cooldude

RJ, I ran across this on a message board.  Can't vouch for its accuracy.

The driver of the pickup, 21-year-old Andrew Schlictemeier of Murray, Nebraska, was taken to Burgess Hospital in Onawa where he was treated and released.

What this news release doesn't state is that the pickup driver FAILED the breath test administered by the state patrol.  He also has pending litigation for at least four counts of vehicular homicide dependent all on the outcome of his blood tests.

Hey Bama. I saw you at Ultimate Seats wed morning, I believe. Saw the blue bike sitting in the lot and you were doing bussiness. Didn't honk or shout, I was headed back to camp to roll out before the heat set in. It was to late. We headed out thru the outskirts of the badlands and it was over a 100 deg. We chased a rain cloud for 60 miles and never caught it. It then chased us as we stopped in Winner SD for the night. Hail and 'rotation' in this one.
