The summer heat is supposed to break tonight. Phew! Good thing! I’ve got stuff to do!

This picture was on the way back from the Old Vic Sunday (notice the temp):

No wonder I took a siesta that day!

That's rough Daniel.  It was 56 this morning on the way to work and it is supposed to make it all the way to 80 this afternoon.  Winter will probably suck rocks through a straw, but I'm not missing Oklahoma as much this week.

There's this mysterious, wet stuff falling from the sky... And, I think the thermometer must be broken, it's only displaying 2 digits, wondering what happened to the 3rd digit?

We haven't had LOWS down the 80's for over 30 days...(till today)

Yeah, I saw some of that. It was accumulating on the ground too! Apparently it's lethal to packs of cars (witness the carnage on the streets this morning).

I think it's an alien attack...my thermometer is doing the same thing...there's no reasonable explanation for that! Cheesy

Welcome to my world.  Now do that for 30 -50 days a year then it cools off to 104-105 for another 30-50 days before dropping all the way down to 100 for another 30-50 days.  The winter parka's start coming out when the temps go below 80.

Just about the time I get the air-conditioning working on the Valk, the heater stops working.  Some year I'll get it right.

Try that with 95% humidity like we have in Florida.  You walk out of the house and your glasses fog over.  PLus, you break into a sweat just walking to the truck.

I grew up in Florida BF, so I have had "wet" heat (meaning sweat like a pig) and now the "dry" heat (like sitting in the microwave).  My best buddie was from Fort Walton and I spent a year in Pensacola while in Navy many moons ago.

got to love those beaches in the panhandle.   cooldude

I went to Navy boot camp in Orlando in 1989.  I arrived on August 31.  It was 104 when I got off the plane.  And I didn't stop sweating for 7 weeks.

Then I spent the next year there going to nuclear power school. I hated every minute of it.

Today was wonderful!!   I didn't get a ride in, but I did finish cleaning the bike.  Actually wiped the pipes underneath and waxed everything I could find.  And  I did it without melting.   Of course the cold beer and cigar helped make it more pleasant.

The old girl still looks good considering she is 11 years old.  My wife was admiring her, and even helped a bit.  Good times!!    Good weather!!

Did you see the weekend forecast?  Temps are going to plummet to a high of 98.  Woohoo, sweater weather is back.

If you have a long sleeved shirt, to keep the sun off, and get it wet, and your levis also, then you can ride real cool for about 30 minuites. Were 2 doors northa hell here in Tucson.
If you get caught in a rain storm, ride through it and you'll be dry before you get  home.
Its weird.
