Gee, he's caught on already. Got the right answers for the best colors! cooldude

I bought my Valk standard in 1996.  It was with me for 13 years, the longest of any motorcycle.  My knees finally couldn't handle the weight but the Valk is still 'gallivantin'  on under the direction of L'ill D, a fine lady.

You definitely made the right choice, the Valk does it all.  However, you will have to do and show off with the 'nickle trick'   That's the icing on the cake. Grin Grin

Better check the serial # to make sure its not a modified Tourer. I'd wonder about why someone would remove the trunk and strip out the more comfortable passenger seat like that.

So I hear courtesy of Sludge via PM.  That's an awesome trick that I'll have to try with my own bike.  If it doesn't work I'll know it needs some tuning up, I guess.  Smiley

John3xv1: Good question.  According to the UVIP (Used Vehicle Information Package) that is mandatory in Ontario to protect less-than-informed purchasers like myself, the bike has had only one owner before me and it is definitely listed as a 1999 Honda Valkyrie Interstate.  The seller had the backrest manufactured and stored the "trunk" which I received with my bike as pictured below.  Besides, I make a living reading people and the guy seems like an honest dude to me.  Besides, he and I met on the level and parted on the square.  cooldude

Chrome:  While I'm supposed to be off work this weekend, I expect to be called in on overtime (especially if the weather is nice).  Sorry I can't be definite but I have to take the o/t when it comes up to pay for my toys.  If I don't get the call, I'm all for the 8 minute ride from my place to the New Serum Diner.  Hey, would my wife be welcome as well?  Wink  BTW, I know I still owe you a phone call - been working 12 hour shifts.  Embarrassed

Chicago Mark:  Thanks Mark!  Believe me, with two kids I do my best to be safe at ALL times.

You didn't mention he had the trunk and included that in the sale.  That would alleviate my concern. Sure would be curious why he pulled it off. Some of us Tourer owners suffer from trunk envy.

Congrats on a very nice ride there. I love the exhaust.

A strange question for you. I can't tell if the bike has the oem valve stems or not.  If the bike has oem valve stems, I have a welcoming gift for you.

Thanks, chrise2469!

I believe the seller said the exhaust is the "2Brothers 6 into 2" (please feel free to correct me as this is all new to me).  I also got the original exhaust pipes as can be seen in the background of the trunk picture above.

I understand that the engine is completely stock and since I know very little about such things I've attached the picture below that may reveal the answer to your question.
