I was looking through some stuff that came with the Valkyrie when I got it and noticed a Trigger Wheel. I'm assuming mine has been changed. Can anyone tell me if you can by looking at them if they're stock or not ?. Didn't really want to tear into her because she's running good. Haven't done any searching yet as thought I'd take the easy way and ask here. Thanks in advance.

No, they look the same.

Do you know if you have a 4 or 6 degree wheel?
I had a 6 on my Interstate and I have gone back to stock. I prefer the consistent response across RPM range with the stock wheel. WIth the 6, I got a snap at 3300-3500 rpm. I was a rush alright, but I never got used to the lag at the low end a. nor did I enjoy the snap.

Cheers,

Glenn

A non-stock trigger wheel will usually have a 4 or a 6 stamped on the front.
Unfortunately you can't see the trigger wheel unless you take off the crank pulley and plate covering it. A bit of work to get there.

Post a photo of it, if you can.

Well, there's nothing stamped on it other than a stamp that says "outside". I guess I'll find out if I ever have to get in there. For now I think I'll leave well enough alone. It just got me curious. Thanks for the replies.

are solid with only a center hole and stock wheels are stamped with oval holes all the way around.

You are correct Slammer!  I was mistaken. I had to go out and dig up my old wheel.

That means Blister has an aftermarket wheel.

If the wheel is washed good the number stamped on the wheel should become evident. 4 or 6
