 Valk, standard, 2001 , 88000 km ( about 50 000 miles)...

Just checked the splines in both end of drive shaft etc..everything looking good,,

When installing the driveshaft back on, it slipped nice and easy in and i could screw the 4 gear case nut on easily... Everything seems fine..
BUT,,,,how do I know the "male splines"  connected the "female splines"  correctly ?
I guess it would not slip in complete if the male did not enter the female correctly ??

( I just hate to start up  without knowing for sure... )

Thanks..

If you are able to tighten the 4 nuts as required and there is not a gap between the drive unit and the tube, you are good.  You can try spinning the driveline to see if it spins freely...remove the drive flange from the wheel and insert it in the drive unit.  If you dropped your rear end off the shocks, you will want to rise it a little so you don't put your u-joint in a bind (the shocks don't allow the axle to drop far enough for it to get in a bind normally).

I did lift the axel house and tie it up before I pushed the axel in...
But , as you said, I'll spin the wheel etc before lowering it from the jack..
