The hotel will give a discount for our group. They are bike frienly. The BMW riders are having there Falling Leaves Ride the weekend before.
They have 49 rooms total and they still have 30 available that weekend as of today(This was postted on 9-7). When you call ask for Donna 573-438-8888. Tell her you are with the VRCC Fall Ride and Kings are $50 plus tax and Doubles are $55 plus tax.

Well I had hoped to make it down for the ride but unfortunatly I won't be able to make it. My sisters engagement party is that weekend - everyone have a safe and enjoyable ride.

Kind of like Garfield, usually don't ride with too many either than one buddy. Did make it down to Ar for bikes blues and bbq this year. I thought I was already a member of this site but apparently not, am now. Springfield area. My girlfriend and I are giving this ride serious consideration. After all I did kind of get the Valk to be part of an elite group.

scooty1 come join us. I plan on having us ride in groups of 5 or 6 and meet up at the stops. It is a safer way to ride. We will send the guys that want to ride faster out first, then another group every few minutes. We will meet back up at a few spots on the route, hope to get some group photos at Alley Spring.

I think I'll go see how the BMW riders do it today. Maybe I can show them a few roads they have not found. I've visited with them here in the past. They're most definitely a riders group, not an OWNERS group. I was surprised at the large amount of female riders there. The colors look like they will be better next weekend, but it will be hard to beat this weekends weather. Mid 80s no wind blue Sky's. See ya.

Yesterday while on on a short ride to dinner with my wife we stopped at the BMW rally in Potosi. Interesting group ,with their world traveler look and Aerostich suits. More crap bungeed on than even my friend Fudgie piles on his bike for Sturgis. (sorry Fudgie had to throw that in there, I enjoyed your Sturgis photos and you do what you have to in order to do the trip) They are riders though . We saw many on the road on our 150 cooldude mile ride for dinner. Oh by the way next Sat's long term forcast is a low of 53 high of 71 ! Good riding weather.

We are six days out  cooldude
I wanted to post the route again if anyone needs to upload it to their GPS
http://www.mapquest.com/mq/1-yx9KKKVtFXC75EBHku0M
Just a heads up for everyone Potosi is a small town, but should have everything you need. There is a Super Walmart, as well as a few auto parts stores.
Gas is priced about the same as other neighboring towns.
A few good eating spots. Boos Market is just west of the hotel in a beige building(on your left if going west)the address is 220 W High St
everything is good, I like the bison burgers.
Dos Primos(Mexican) in right next to the hotel in the farm store parking lot. 706 E High Street

The county is WET
Missouri does, however, limit the hours of retail alcohol sales to between 6:00 AM and 1:30 AM Monday through Saturday, and between 9:00 AM and midnight on Sunday

Right now I'm thinking I'll be leaving Kum&Go in Waynesville at 0630 should give me enough time to meet everyone before the start. Army Valker do you know yet if you can make it. If anyone is coming from this direction let me know and we can hook up for the ride to Potosi. Sharkey I believe my best route will be from St James so maybe we can hook up along the way.
