Anyone know where to get the Valkyrie front rotor covers or have some old ones laying around and want to sell 'em?

I found them also but was really hoping to find a used set, even an old rusty set in someones garage, for a lot less than $306 with shipping. Saw some for sale at Inzane from Big Mike. They are not listed on his website; probably have to give him a call. Warning - they ain't cheap. $400 - that's not gonna happen. Thanks for the lead!

do the older goldwing s fit? I don't know! If you look at the pics the Valkyrie, 1500 'wing and 1300 VTX all look the same; but that may be a lazy photographer. According to Valk Bling, the Standard/Tourer model won't fit an Interstate because the I/S speedo is different.

I believe you can use the set for the Std/Tourer, but you have to cut the opening for the speedo cable etc. larger to accomodate the IS cable. The prices for these rotor covers is high enough, that I can't see why they aren't still being made by someone.

Probably because they would not sell many, because so few of us find them attractive! They're probably not marketing to those of you that don't find them attractive. It's kinda like sidecars; most riders wouldn't be caught dead with one of those attached to their bike but they still make 'em... It's Houdini's bike - if he likes the chrome rotor covers, more power to him. When you have a slow, dull, monochrome black Valk, more chrome is better. Go for it, Chuck!

Here is the next tasteless waste to accent your sense of style, Chuck... All this from a guy who has owned and sold two Valkyries, does not have one how, bought a butt-ugly an aesthetically-challenged GS1200 beemer, and has not quit "picking on it" since he bought it over a year ago. Love the sinner, hate the sin! +1

Look, the question was asked, why aren't they being made anymore. It's my opinion that it's because they look ridiculous on a Valkyrie, and perhaps a lot more people felt that way, so they didn't sell well. Products that move, and sell well usually aren't hard to find. Why try and turn a Valkyrie into a Gold Wing anyway? Kerry Am I not entitled to an opinion, or is this the cheerleaders section only

Kerry Am I not entitled to an opinion, or is this the cheerleaders section only Kerry, your logic doesn't work. Pod lights are popular but very difficult to obtain and when found, are most dear. CB radios for Interstates - again, popular but not easy to find. How about the scuff covers for saddlebags? Impossible to find. Hondaline rails for the saddlebags? Highly popular, but...... It's an old, out of production motorcycle with limited numbers produced. Using your concept, there should be hundreds of sets available because they were produced but no one wanted them. Obviously not the case. Each of us makes our Valks their own with the accessories they add. What some think as ugly, others think as beautiful. Some guy thinks animal antlers makes his Valk look great. And who are we to judge? Who are YOU to even comment? Houdini didn't ask for opinions. He asked if anyone knew where to find the rotor covers. Would I put the rotor covers on my interstate? Nope - that would be more chrome I'd feel bad about not washing and polishing plus I don't like the look. But that's MY Valk and what I want on MY Valk, which has nothing to do with what Houdini wants. If he wants chrome rotor covers (and he does clean and polish his Valk regularly), then I'd be very happy to help him find them, if I knew where to look. He's my brother Valk rider. If you don't have anything nice to say, why even respond to the topic? Head back to the political morass known as the general board and stir up trouble there.

Actually, the comment I responded to was "The prices for these rotor covers is high enough, that I can't see why they aren't still being made by someone." I answered that comment with an opinion as to why that was. You may not like my opinion, but I was simply answering that comment. Is that forbidden here? Kerry

I'm not going to repeat Rainmakers eloquent response and attempt to explain the law of supply and demand. I also don't intend on feeding the troll any further. I'll assume there aren't any RC's available in Tejas and I don't want them bad enough to waste my time on the national board.

I'll answer the troll. OK, troll. Here's your opinion as you stated it. Unwanted, unsolicited and unnecessary. The one that lit the fire. There are no rules preventing you from venting whatever thought comes out of your empty head, but there is common courtesy and respect for others. You have no skin in this game, no reason for being a part of the thread - you are just another blowhard who wants to stir trouble up while hiding behind the right to do so. Now, to make my statement that you are a total blowhard OK, note that it is MY humble opinion. Topic closed. Go away. Find your fun on the general board with the other blowhards.

Let me see if I got this straight, You call me a troll, empty headed, and a blowhard hiding behind my keyboard, and in the same breath insult other people in the main board as if you are somehow above us all... and I'm trying to stir things up? Why don't you pull that stick ever so gently from between your ass cheeks, give it a sniff, carefully place it back from whence it came, and realize that your s&^t stinks too. I wasn't trying to stir up anything, you don't know me, so how dare you make assumptions. You clearly have the whole world figured out, so please explain to me why you didn't take offense to the other posts before mine that were basically hinting at the same thing. I was just trying to be a little funnier about it. My apologies. Kerry

Before this turns into a thing, why don't I introduce myself. I joined this community several years ago, when I attended my 1st INZANE in Johnson City. I didn't know anyone, but I was so impressed, I came again the next year. I've made a few friends, not that many, but enough to want to come again, so I attended this years INZANE in Michigan as well. the reason I say this is so you will understand, I'm NOT someone who stirs up trouble on the board. Look at every post I've ever made here (not hard, there's not too many) That's not who I am. So, yes, I took offense to being characterized as a troll, and a blow hard, and what ever else the gentleman called me. Maybe it was a poor choice of words on my part, I honestly was just (maybe in retrospect) unsuccessfully trying to be kind of funny. I had no idea someone would take such umbrage with an opinion on a brake cover. I wasn't dissing the bikes, I love them. I apologize for being rude, and it won't happen again. Maybe before calling someone names, you could PM them 1st, and express how you felt...I would have apologized...and I wouldn't have called you any names either Kerry

Before this turns into a thing, why don't I introduce myself. Way to step up brother; welcome to the Texas board. We pride ourselves in keeping the Texas board "mostly" civil and sticking on topic. Most of these yahoo's I consider friends or at least riding acquaintances and I didn't take their words as insults, heck, one of them called me after posting to make sure I didn't take it personal. I do get a bit annoyed when people I don't know start telling me what I should or shouldn't put on my bike; I don't judge you, you don't judge me. I'll point and laugh later but not in your face (virtual or real). And don't piss off Rainmaker, I think he's a 1%-er Edit - North Dakota and I had a discussion off board and it's all good - he may be heading down with his wife to visit with us and get in some riding in early winter.

I'm the one who posted the comment about someone starting to make rotor covers since they cost so much, to which KerryNolan referred. It was ME again, that got right in the middle of something in DFW. Damn, I just can't stay out of trouble with you northerners. At least I didn't post pics of my rotor covers on MAGNUM... yet

Congratulations guys. And I mean that sincerely. That is NOT sarcasm. I find myself on forums less and less because they all too often turn into cyber argument rooms. One person will say something that angers someone else. Feelings get hurt, and things start to escalate to the Internet equivalent of all out thermo nuclear war. It's all too rare when you see what I just witnessed here. A comment is made and unintentionally offendeds somedbody else. Tempers flared for a little while, but the folks here are mature enough to step back and express regret at the miscommunication. Apologies are extended and accepted, and we all remember what brought us together. Our shared admiration of a fantastic machine, and the appreciation of the various ways other people express themselves with and on it. (An exception here to the guy who covered his with antlers.) I lurk on the national board, but feel like I'm navigating a mine field. I try to stay off of threads that sound overtly political or religious. The Texas chapter of the VRCC along with MOOT has, and apparently remains, the highlight of my forum experience. Way to go guys.

...I've set here for the past two weeks now and read as many conversations, or maybe exchanges as I care to see. I come here at night after stressful day of dealing with lifes issues to unwind. To get a laugh or two, (usually from BnB), and to read about something I love dearly... friends and the best bike ever built. It's my understanding that ANYONE with a VRCC # can post on these boards regardless of their geographical location, i.e. Dag. I look forward to Dag's posts and especially the videos!! (Keep 'em coming Dag!) I am posting this pic as an offer to anyone who wants one... this great book is available from Amazon for only $14.49 and if you cant afford one, I will gladly buy you one for Christmas if you promise to read it. I also understand that anything posted is allowed unless deemed inappropriate by the moderator and I haven't heard anything from Mr. Meyers as of yet. Perhaps it would best serve our great State of Texas if we all adopted a little saying My granddad taught me when I was 5. "If you don't have anything good to say, don't dsay anything at all." Now.... there's my two cents, , (for what it's worth.)

Congratulations guys. And I mean that sincerely. That is NOT sarcasm. I find myself on forums less and less because they all too often turn into cyber argument rooms.
