The adjuster will always come in way low.
It makes no matter which insurance company it is. These adjusters work for several insurance companies.
My nephew was an adjuster till he went into the selling insurance game. He retired at 53. He gets checks from 3 insurance firms for his % of the renewal on these policies he sold every month.
The wife got hit in the door pillar at a stop sign runner. His insurance company was Progressive. Called them to see if it had been reported to them yet. They said yes, but have been unable to get ahold of the driver for his side of the story, asked if they had the accident report, she said yes. I said fine, I'll turn it over to my insurance coverage and let the 2 of you battle it out after my company settles with me.
She made me an offer of $12,500, on our 04 Infiniti I35, with under 40,000 miles. Blue book was 13,900, for a middle of the road one, this is retail. I knew the super clean one was 17,500, told her she was 9,000 low, she offered 14,500, told he no, I wanted no less than 19,000. She agreed, plus paid the Dr visit, and a $1,000 for pain and aggravation, and a rental car. So we took it. Bought her a Toyota Highlander as she wanted an SUV with 4 wheel drive.
SO is as happy as a pig in a mudhole with her Toyota..
