Had a close call tonight
I got off work at 23:00hrs tonight and as it is a bit cool, (43degF) I was sticking pretty close to the speed limit 65mph.
On a two lane highway I crested the last hill between me and the house, 18 wheeler going the other direction, and a car in my lane headed right for me.
I guess something of the classes I took stuck. I gather that somehow I managed a two wheel upright skid onto the shoulder of the road. I guess anyway, not really sure, but there I was, intact.
Fat lady died and I sat there for a bit making sure that my shorts had not overflowed into my boots.
The driver of the car never slowed down. Another driver who saw what happened did stop to make sure that I was ok. Once I got it through my thick somewhat shaken head that she was -not- the driver who nearly killed me, I apologized and thanked her for stopping.
The fat lady started right up and took me the 1/2 mile to the house.

damn.

gotta go buy a lotto ticket

Glad to hear your ok.  Gotta watch those cages.  Most of em get in, put the key in the ignition and put their brains in the glove box.

I had someone run a stopsign this morning on me.  It wasn't TOO close, as I saw IT coming... but I still had to brake, and let the MORON know I was displeased.
