The raid was successful.

“As soon as the first stack of [Marines] made our way into the bridge, their hands were up, their weapons were down, they moved to their knees and they were compliant,” Martin said. “At that point, they were pretty scared. One guy actually defecated himself. … He sh-- his pants. I don’t know if that can go on the news or not, but that actually happened.”

Thanks for the post.  Always enjoy ship boardings.  When I was in the Coast Guard I performed boardings alone or with one other Coast Guardsman of large Ocean going vessels.  The Norwegian ships were the cleanest, but the captain was always in a hurry to finish the inspection.  The Greeks and Middle Eastern countries had the filthiest and non-safe ships.

The Chinese took the cake with no Marine Sanitation Device, in other words everything that was flushed down the toilet went directly into the sea in port, which was worth a $250,000.00 dollar ticket.

Some ships only had a flimsy rope ladder to climb from the Ocean to the main deck, others knew how to be friends with the Coast Guard with a portable stairway or at least a piece of wood in each step of the rope ladder.

Miss the salt air.
