Crashing sucks!   Angry

We're supposed to learn that when we're kids... on bicycles and skate boards and such.

No more crashing.  Like others have said... too many, too often.

This has beena Public Service Announcement.

You may now resume your normal web surfing, time wasting activities.  cooldude

It takes a big man to stand up and speak when others cower and either ignore or deny the probability and possibility of of unfortunate crimes againt decency. The propensity of personal and property damage not withstanding this action takes the utmost vigilance and preparedness to avoid.
The derision endured by minor misfortunes and the expense and loss of riding time by more serious mishaps should inspire us all, indivually ,and as a collective membership to stand tall with our brethren and sisteren and help each other and not be afraid point out discrepensies and frailities.

I think it's most interesting that the most vocal Libertarian spokesman has demanded that we restrict our behaviors.   Grin  What ever happened to, "I disagree in principle with what you're doing, but I will defend to the death your right to do it?"

I, too, stand strongly for an immediate and complete cessation of these all too frequent unnecessary and injurious incidents, but then I'm a hard line social conservative, so I'm allowed to do that.   Wink

I concur.  I will defend to my last breath, everyone's right to engage in risky, albiet fun behavior.  Also one's right, if you want to call it that, to crash.  However, I believe it to be in everyone's self interest to follow the advise I spewed forth originally.

Crashing SUX!

Libertarian or not.

Ride safe folks.

Crashing is always a bad idea. I know no one plans to crash.

Consider the overall affect of any crash on the entire riding group.
It is no fun for anyone and usually diminishes the enjoyment of the ride for all.

It is no fun taking someone to the hospital, calling relatives, picking up the pieces  --  done it, not fun.

Most ride to enjoy it so think of everyone and dial it back a little, do not be a statistic, do not affect the enjoyment of the ride for others, if you can prevent it..

Just my 2 cents worth, for what it is worth.

Never again is a good plan, but a thorough execution requires something I'm unwilling to do.

For anyone who thinks "dialing it back" will fix the issue, I was doing 40 mph on city streets.  I must tell you I've gone much faster before and since.   Wink

"For anyone who thinks "dialing it back" will fix the issue,...... "

Motorcycling by nature is somewhat a risk issue, if you ride you accept that.
I do not buy the fact that speed alone necessarily makes a difference either way.

But I do buy the fact that "dialing it back" MEANS reducing the risk and intensity where reasonable and possible.

When riding with a group I am less inclined to do some things that would increase my risk and potentially increase the risk of others.

No one wants to spoil everyones afternoon for any reason.

Dialing it back could also be said as ride smart.

Your bike, your money, your life  -- risk it how you want to ---- just do not risk someone else.
