Powdercoat is a tough finish. As a matter of fact the frames on our Valks are powdercoated at the factory. Powdercoating wheels is common these days; especially on alloy metal wheels such as on our Valks. Powdercoat requires no special care, just clean with soap and water, no polishing, and it is not effected by brake dust.

You could clean, sand, and polish your Valk wheels then have them powdercoated. There is also a newer coating called Powder-Chrome. Powder-Chrome is similar to powdercoat but it shines better than chrome although it has more of a darker shade, more like black chrome.

Powdercoating is quite inexpensive and here in metro Detroit there are dozens of shops that specialize in small coating jobs. If you need a recommended shop in metro Detroit call: Supreme Welding at 586 791-8860 ask for Tim
