Here you go, plug and play. Doesn't get easier than this.

Alph and I installed this on my IS this spring along with some J&M speakers.

If you got the harness I posted before, it plugs in under your right side cover. The link chip posted should give you an idea of where to run the wires. Getting the wires run through the trunk is the worst part by far. The rest of the job is quick and painless.

Does anyone know if the speakers in the faring and the trunk are the same size?  I have one in the trunk that is dead and want to replace all 4 at the same time.

Jimmy, the front are 4.5 in and the rear are 4 in. I did mine a while back with some JM speakers for a 1800 gold wing.  Gottem from HDL  about 120 bucks for the four. Much better sound than stock.  If your coming to Floyds wed. I'll bring the  part numbers.

Thanks Bubbles.  That will work!  I have been thinking about doing this for a while now.  I have to take the trunk apart anyways to replace the chrome rails that I have in my possession.

See y'all Wednesday night.

Very easy to do just have to unbolt speaker pods. Trunk doesn't have  to be disassemblied.
