I've noticed that several of you carry this gun.
Question to those that do... I see many choices available for carry. The Ruger paddle holster available on their web-site looks real nice and that's what I'm used to. I'm open to other suggestions that WORK for you. I'm trying to eliminate buying everything out there trying to find one that works and I like. Many brands of front and rear carry pocket holsters available. This is something I have never tried and am curious about, although I just wear regular cut jeans and don't know if these pocket style holsters will work?
1)  What are you using for your LCP?

2)  Would you recommend it?

3)  Do pocket holsters work?

Hey Tundra, just graduate to the relaxed (not loose) fit old man's jeans, and your pocket holster will be a breeze (and not print, and be easier to draw), and throwing your leg over the bike will be easier, and riding in summer will allow much more air up the pant legs for cooling.  I wore them doing yard work around the house for a year before I got up the gumption to go in public with them (riding), now I really don't like classic fit anymore.   I am to the point where I truly don't care what others think about how I look (I do bathe and shave on occasion  LOL).

I don't have an LCP (do have a 1908 vest pocket Colt .25) and I wonder, if you don't chamber a round, can't you just stick it in a front pocket without a holster at all?  It doesn't take long to rack it, if necessary.  (I realize this goes against what many will say about proper CCW)

...although I don't like to broadcast this I carry mine most of the time in my front jeans pocket or if I have a coat on in my inside coat pocket...I found it a little uncomfortable in my rear pocket ..also I'm a bigger guy so the inside waistband holster is also uncomfortable for me... cooldude

...also if I carry inside front pocket I have wallet style holster ...it draws easy enough but you will have to practice drawing and shooting...slow and sure is my moto... Wink...for me the LCP  is a great gun but you will have to fire alot of rounds through it before you get used to it and accurate... Smiley

I use a pocket Holster for my LCP. Works fairly well. I don't know what kind it is. I got it from my dad when he sold his Keltec. Maybe he will chime in.....

tundra, I carry in front Jeans pocket with no problem except when on the Valk. Sitting does cause some binding and tugging. On the bike the LCP fits in a Dayotna Tank Bag. Always close at hand.  Wink

I have a Kahr P380 instead of an LCP, but they are about the same size. I have purchased 4 holsters for it in the last 4 months, but the one I have settled on is the F.I.S.T kydex:

I drop it in my pocket and pretty much forget it is there.

The pocket holster is a Milt Sparks, very expensive but works.  I've become a fan of a decently designed pocket holster.

I'm guessing you transfer it from the tank bag to the pocket anytime you make a stop?

I've thought about installing a tank bag so the weapon would be easier to get to but that requires a lot of handling, and showing, at every stop such as service stations, etc.

Most of the time a shirt worn out is enough of a hide but holsters are not really to my personal liking down here. I would also say a ankle holster is about as unobtrusive as it gets and a 380 is perfect for that. If you come into a situation where you need it a gun pulled is more times the end of the situation. If you can get used to no holster then a the world is open because a 9 in the pants is pretty easy to hide. Plus with the bigger gun there is more to keep it in your pants.  I have found belt clips with just the minimal of material and they also work. Shoulder holster with suits is ok. With baggy jeans a 25 or maybe a 380 in the pocket works.

It really depends on the "stop'. Most times I`ll peel tank bag off and put in saddle bags and lock. A lot of places frown on weapons in their places.  Roll Eyes The LCP is easy to plam and hide when I remove from bag. I normanly don`t let my Valk. out of my sight for very long. Wink

I'm glad to see that several of my fellow riders believe in their rights to keep and bear arms. Having been a firearms instrctor for 10 years.........I can only hope you stay familier with your weapon of choice and fire it often and also keep your mind trained as well. If not, your just waiting for a tragedy to happen. Read this book......you can find it farliy easy. A very good book on personal protection.

Ride safe and shoot straight !!!

BTW........I carry a Taurus mod. 65 wheel gun in a "bellyband" holster.

I went to pick up my second (for the wife) Ruger LCP .380 last night and wound getting a Springfield Armory XD-45 too.
I didn't plan on this, but have hated my Colt Combat Commander and didn't want to sell to a stranger. They had a sale, $150.00 off. Plus a mail in deal for three additional magazines from Springfield until december 31st. We talked turkey for a while, then the light came on and I went out to my truck and got the Colt to see what they would give me on a trade. EVEN STEVEN, didn't pay one dime, not even tax.
I'm a happy camper, the XD-45 comes with lot's of goodies.  I know it's worth double that, but I hated it and it's gone. Win win deal for me cooldude

I usually carry the Kel Tec P3AT either in my rear pocket or inside the belt.  The only holster I have for it is a pocket holster for when it is in the pocket.  Otherwise, sitting/binding issues might cause me to occasionally use the belt clip that I have mounted on it.   You might also be able to use one of these belt clips....  since they are very similar guns
