Where'd old times go?

Frisco, TX

« on: November 29, 2010, 05:22:38 AM »

Its always nice to be with family for the holidays.  angel

But, after 7 days, its nice to wave good-bye to them at the airport   Evil

Don't get me wrong.  Lori and I really enjoyed the company of her sister and her sister's son, but having your home and your routines back to norm is pretty darn good too.

(Missed a couple of beautiful days to go riding)

Oh.  And by-the-way.  The leftovers are pretty darn good too . .  especially when you can be selfish and not have to share with anyone but the S.O.

Did I mention the pie?  Mmmmm.  Homemade pumpkin pie.  Lori doesn't eat pumpkin pie so guess what? ! !

Our two sons arrived on Wednesday, one from College Station and the other from Waco.  It was nice having the nest "full" for 3 days.  My wife cooked up a great bird that we shared with my mom and stepdad, then had a great time watching the Aggies versus t.u. Thursday nite. And we lit the house up Thursday night - all the Christmas lights were up early enough to celebrate the Aggie win!

Went to the movies on Friday afternoon and cleaned out all the leftovers before they left on Sunday.

As always, tears in the eyes when they came and more when they left.

I always loved having a family and truly treasure the times when we are all together, even for just a little while.

Hug 'em while you got 'em, folks.  The time really flies by.
