There is a benefit today here in Pearland for the family of Josh Wilkerson, 18 year old kid, killed by an "alleged" illegal alien...  Come on out and eat a real good $10 BBQ plate and help out this boys family.  I still can't believe that this happened...and the smug grin of the *&%&^%#) that killed him while taking his mug shot...

Thanks Skinhead and Old Geezer...  the mood was sort of somber, but when the auction started, the mood improved greatly.
This is small town at it's best.  Business owners and just plain ole country people donated all kinds of services, bbq dinners, home baked goods, jewerly, brand new generators, 4wd hunting samauri, custom outdoor ice chests covered with wood, and on and on...
Some of it was put up for the auction and some was for the raffle.

This is when the older guys, the ones who started their businesses and have kept the town going all these years bring out their wallets and BUY these things, some to be donated right back to the cause and auctioned off again.

Anyway, we had a good time and donated some money to the cause.
We have to go back at 6 p.m. to see if I won anything I put my raffle tickets on.

God Bless Josh Wilkerson
