Did I put enough "mad's" in there? It's been a while since I
saw that movie...one of my favorites! Anyway, I got to see
the first few minutes of it today. Does anybody know what
road that is that they're all driving like "mad"? Looks like it
would be a great ride!! Sweeping curves, one right after
another, and it looks like you could see mountains for miles.
I'm going to assume it's in eastern CA, but that's just a
guess. Anybody know? ???

They say this about the final location on the Wiki...

The park, where the big W was shown, was located on the grounds of a private residence, located in Rancho Palos Verdes, where only one of the four palm trees remains. There is speculation that the missing trees may be replanted sometime in the future in commemoration of the film.

The final chase scene was filmed in Santa Monica, most notably at the California Incline, and downtown Long Beach. The cars can be seen passing the Pike amusement park with its wooden roller coaster and traveling around Rainbow Pier. The Arcade under Ocean Boulevard near Pine Avenue also is part of the scene.

I'd love to see a remake of the movie with some of the current comedians and stars (just as long as it doesn't end up making some innane political statement to ruin it like so many of today's remakes feel obligated to do ).

One of the zaniest movies of all times.

just re-release the classic to the theaters. it will make more money than the schlock they put up today.
Do we really need a new three stooges? Probably not either. Somethings should just be left alone.

Great movie...an all time favorite of mine...Kelly's hereos is another one...but mad mad is just a great comedy...mindless shallow plot and just slap stick funny...we could use a couple of those movies these days...amazing what passes for entertainment these days...do we really need to see people singing and dancing for prize money???

I vote we have Dag make a 2 hour ride movie on the big screen....like they do with the Ski.snowboard movies...

What do you say Dag??? Up for thw challenge??? cooldude cooldude

 Grin  Grin

I think I will have much more that two hours after my 10K miles ride through Europe in July / August.
Three weeks ride through fourteen countries.
Three camcorders mounted on my Valkyrie + digital camera and of course a laptop to store all the files.
I know that the moovie will be too long for YouTube   Smiley
